"I once went to see a trend guru. She was wearing a flowing robe—but that's beside the point. One word trend gurus absolutely love is "hybrid." They can't get enough of it. Or "fluid." Even better. Or else, "transition," "stillness," "tactility," or "layering." They'll eat it up. Personally, I've never found those seminars all that enlightening, especially considering they cost a small fortune. My standard joke at the end of an afternoon like that is therefore that I’ve just had the most expensive nap of the year. Anyway, to make the expense feel somewhat worthwhile, we crammed all of those fancy buzzwords into one single shoe. And here it is! It sits right in the sweet spot: not quite dressy, not entirely casual. Not loud, but definitely layered. The material is so tactile you can’t keep your hands off it. And to top it all off, it's completely fluid—which is just a fancy way of saying it'll work with pretty much any outfit. Well... almost any outfit. Pair it with a flowing guru robe and it might be a bit too hybrid after all."
