The Wooly is our premium sock. It is made of pure new wool and cotton. Pure new wool or virgin wool is the product of the first shearing of a lamb. In the wool mill, a gas flame burns away all the fuzzy fibres, creating an even more beautiful yarn. The yarn is made into a plied right knit. This means that the two outer knit layers are made of cotton, while the core is entirely made of wool. Thanks to the wool, the sock is heat and moisture regulating and the cotton prevents the wool from being scratchy. The sock is made in ready-to-wear Italy, on a state-of-the-art knitting machine using 200 needles. The socks have no toe seams and do not pinch at the calf. Our collection also features socks made of 100% cotton. These are of similar quality, but lack the extra comfort the wool layer provides.
